Styled properties visually draw in perspective buyers, and allows your property to stand out against competing properties on the market. Styling has become essential in achieving a great result - a maximum sales price, with minimal time on the market.

Ali Waight Stylist works with your agent to determine the target buying market and styles the property with specifically selected pieces that complement the style and architectural elements of the property.

 

Frequently Asked Questions about Property Styling

What if I already have furniture? Can you still style my home?

Sure! We can visit you and advise how to style your own furniture for market. We will advise on how to declutter and what areas you need to concentrate on. We can also add to your existing furniture to create a stylish home in order to market. We can go through and work out which items can be used and those that need to be removed.

How much does it cost?

Styling Consultations, to prepare your property for market, in your fully furnished home are $195 inc GST. For vacant homes we offer a free quote for furniture hire. Depending on the size of the property it can be between $3,000 - $7,000 inc GST. We can work with you to a particular budget. Previous return on investment results are listed at $20,000 - $100,000 more than the vendor reserve.

How long is the hire period?

Unlike other companies, we offer six (6) weeks to allow for one (1) week of photography and marketing, and five (5) weeks for the campaign.

Do I have to vacate the property?

No. We are one of the only companies that allows you to live in the home with our furniture.

Can I be involved in selecting the furniture items?

No. As a qualified and experienced Property Stylist, we ask that you trust in our knowledge of the real estate market, use of space and target demographic market and allow us to take care of all the selection and styling.

Does the property need to be empty for styling?

Yes. We require all nominated items to be cleared from the property and a blank canvas in order to furnish and style the property. Our team cannot move your furniture out for you.

What are the payment terms?

We require full payment, two days prior to installation.

What if my house sells in the first week? Do I get a refund on the additional weeks?

This is a great result, and what we aim to achieve! We don't offer refunds if items are returned early, but you can continue to enjoy them for the full term.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have insurance for our furniture in the case of it being stolen or damaged in a fire. Any damage to fabrics or finishes will be at the cost of the client.

Where do you service?

We are based in the Geelong region, so a lot of our work is within the Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula, however we are willing and able to service Melbourne and the rest of Victoria too!
